Kids Grades K-12
Read 100 minutes per week and complete activities during our five-week challenge to earn a prize pack with coupons for frozen custard, pizza, swimming, and more! Log your minutes online with BEANSTACK (link below) or use the paper tracking sheet (BINGO format) available at the library. The requirements are the same for either tracking method. Challenge begins June 14th. Beginning July 19th, you can redeem your completed challenge at the library to collect a prize pack. Prize packs will be issued up until July 31st or until gone. Participants must register (June 1st – June 15th) with the library (this is separate from creating a Beanstack account). One prize pack per registered participant.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
The concept is simple. The rewards are priceless! Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1,000 books (yes, you can repeat books) before your little one starts Kindergarten. If you read just one book a night, you will have read 365 books in one year, 730 books in two years, and 1,095 books in three years. Log reading and earn badges all along the way. Or use paper tracking sheets available at the library.
At 50 books, children earn a book tote.
For every 100 books, children earn a sticker.
At 500, they earn an educational toy.
At 1000, children earn a paperback book and certificate.
Adult Summer Reading for 2021:
This year we are playing Adult Summer Reading Bingo! You can either pick up your Adult Summer Reading Bingo sheets inside the Library or click on the link below to download a copy. The Bingo sheet has 25 squares, each with a description of a different book written inside. You can cross off a square if you read (or listen) to a book that matches the description in a square. Only one square can be marked off per book. Every Bingo (5 spaces in a row that are crossed off in any direction) counts towards an entry to a $100 amazon gift card. You can get a total of three entrees (three Bingos). Return this sheet to the library before July 31st 2021 for entry into the prize drawing.
